AhlulBayt News Agency - Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has announced that the first stage of the pillar contraction project is now open to the public.
Head of the department Engineer Muhammad Hassan Kadhum said, “The Engineering and Technical Projects Department of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has completed the first stage of the pillar contraction project for expanding the area near the holy grille and facilitating the flow of pilgrims near the shrine.”
“The contraction of the pillars surrounding the holy grille will make way for the big project in the future and that is raising the holy golden dome to be viewed from a further distance,” added Kadhum.
After the pillar contraction project, the Holy Shrine will begin the long-awaited dome elevation project, which will raise the holy dome seven meters.
